Internet Explorer, Error pops up: "Internet Explorer has stopped working", how can i fix t

I use firefox mostly, but I would still like accesses to Internet explorer for a few reasons. However, I cant use it because it keeps saying

"Internet Explorer has stopped working, A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available"

I can't even see the browser.

Well my computer has windows vista, if that is important. PLEASE HELP ME!! im losing sleep over this. And please don't tell me to use firefox cause i love firefox and already use it and it works fine but i need to use IE too!

Without more details - like your version of IE, it's hard to say what the fix is. I did find a walk-thru at microshaft that you can try. I don't know how helpful it will be but maybe it will do the trick:

You must have the vista cd/dvd with you. Insert it in the optical drive, cancel autorun and goto command prompt. at command prompt type following:

sfc /scannow

this should remove your problem. If it doesn't work, try reinstalling latest version of IE from microsoft site.
